Thunderbirds sign Liam Patten to one-year deal

HALIFAX, NS (September 21, 2026) – The Halifax Thunderbirds announced today that the team has signed defender Liam Patten to a one-year contract. 

Patten, 29, was selected by the Thunderbirds in the third round (30th overall) of last week’s NLL Dispersal Draft. 

The Guelph, Ontario native is an eight-year NLL veteran, having previously played in Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Panther City. 

Last season, Patten appeared in all 18 regular-season contests with the Wings, registering a pair of goals and eight points, along with 115 loose balls and 12 caused turnovers. 

In 120 career games played, Patten has 23 goals, 59 points, 538 loose balls, and 81 caused turnovers.
