Thunderbirds sign Jason Knox to one-year extension

HALIFAX, NS (September 18, 2026) – The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced that the team has signed forward Jason Knox to a one-year contract extension.

The Huntsville, ON product is set to enter his fourth season in the National Lacrosse League and his third with the Thunderbirds.

Knox, 25, had a breakout 2025-26 campaign, playing an integral role in the Thunderbirds’ run to the NLL Finals.

During the regular season, Knox recorded 19 goals and 18 assists. He elevated his game in the postseason, exploding for 18 goals and 10 assists in just six games.

In 50 career games, Knox has recorded 54 goals and 72 assists for 126 points.

His combination of elite off-ball movement, finishing ability and relentless work ethic has quickly made Knox a fan favourite inside The Nest.
