Thunderbirds sign Chris Boushy to a One-Year Contract

Jun 23, 2022

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (June 23, 2022) - The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced they have signed forward Chris Boushy to a one-year contract.

Boushy, 24, finished fifth in scoring last season, posting 47 points (26G, 21A) and 44 loose balls, and forming a dangerous duo with Petterson on the right side.

“He found a way this past season to put up points and become one of our most consistent scorers on the right side,” Styres said. “Boushy came to camp prepared and in better shape, earning his roster spot, and we believe 2023 will be no different as he continues to navigate his role in the NLL and become a great support player while also finding the back of the net.”

Selected in the third round (No. 31 overall) of the 2017 NLL Entry Draft by the Saskatchewan Rush, Boushy debuted with the Calgary Roughnecks and was acquired by the Thunderbirds franchise via trade midway through the 2018-19 season. In his NLL career, he has 90 points (49G, 41A) and 114 loose balls.
