Thunderbirds Reveal Theme Nights for 2021-22 Home Games

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (November 17, 2021) - The Halifax Thunderbirds today revealed all nine theme nights for every 2021-22 Thunderbirds home game at Scotiabank Centre.
After 636 days between games at The Nest, the Thunderbirds welcome the Saskatchewan Rush as part of the NLL Face-Off Weekend. The Thunderbirds are celebrating Every Child Matters, remembering and honouring the lost Indigenous children and survivors of Canada’s residential schools, their families and communities.
Thunderbirds players will all don special Every Child Matter uniforms. The uniforms will be auction off after the game, with proceeds directly benefiting Residential School Survivors advocacy groups.
The Thunderbirds celebrate two East Coast Kitchen Parties, the first on Dec. 10, 2021 when they face-off against the Toronto Rock, and the latter on Feb. 12, 2022 when the Philadelphia Wings come to town.
You Can Play/University Night takes place on Jan. 8, 2022. The Thunderbirds take on the New York Riptide and simultaneously celebrate all children’s rights and abilities to play sports and local universities.
Jan. 22, 2022 sees the Thunderbirds host the Buffalo Bandits for Nova Scotia Strong Night.
The Thunderbirds will battle the Georgia Swarm and celebrate youth lacrosse across the Maritimes with their Youth Lacrosse Night on Feb. 19, 2022.
When the Western Conference Vancouver Warriors come to Halifax, the Thunderbirds will honour and recognize those of the Canadian Armed Forces who have served and are currently serving to protect Canadian citizens nationwide and worldwide.
Irish Night takes place on March 11, 2022. The Thunderbirds take on the Albany FireWolves and revel in the Province’s Irish roots and heritage.
Finally, the Thunderbirds finish their regular season home games with Fan Appreciation Night on April 1, 2022. The Thunderbirds will play their final regular season home game of the 2021-22 NLL season with a matchup against the Rochester Knighthawks and celebrate the best fans in the sport who have wholeheartedly embraced the Thunderbirds franchise in the Maritimes.
