Thunderbirds ink Warren Hill to two-year extension

HALIFAX, NS (July 28, 2023) – The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced that the team has signed goaltender Warren Hill to a two-year contract extension. 

"Halifax has become my home away from home," Hill said. "The whole organization, from upper management to teammates, feels like a big family and that’s something that made signing back an easy decision. I can’t wait to be back in The Nest!"

Hill, 30, has spent four seasons as a member of the Thunderbirds’ organization. The Six Nations, Ontario product was originally selected by Georgia with the 20th overall pick in the 2016 NLL Draft. 

He signed with the organization as a free agent back in 2018.

Hill appeared in all 18 games for the team during the 2022-23 season, finishing with a 9-7 record along with an 11.03 goals-against average and a .770 save percentage. 

In 70 career games played, Hill owns a 27-15 record as well as a 10.19 GAA and .796 GAA.
