Thunderbirds ink Geddie, Lee to contracts

HALIFAX, NS (September 21, 2026) -- The Halifax Thunderbirds announced today that the team has signed goaltender Justin Geddie to a one-year contract extension and defender Ethan Lee to a three-year contract.

Geddie, 25, spent last year on the practice roster for Halifax after being signed as a free agent last November in training camp.

The Victoria, British Columbia product has five NLL campaigns under his belt, split between San Diego, Albany, Las Vegas, and the Thunderbirds. 

In 51 career games, Geddie has registered a 12.82 goals-against average and a .753 save percentage.

Lee, 22, was drafted by the Thunderbirds in the third round (45th overall) of the 2025 NLL Draft.

The Whitby, Ontario native entered the 2025 NLL Draft after one year with the Whitby Warriors. Previous to that, he had featured with the Clarington Green Gaels in 2024. In 12 regular-season contests last summer, Lee registered three goals and four points in transition, but it was in the playoffs where he really shone. 

Posting six points in 17 postseason outings, Lee shouldered more defensive responsibility for the Warriors. 

Lee attends the University of Guelph, where he is in his fourth year as a member of the Griffins.
