Thunderbirds, Cody Jamieson agree to two-year extension

HALIFAX, NS (September 21, 2026) – The Halifax Thunderbirds announced today that the team has signed forward Cody Jamieson to a two-year contract extension.

Jamieson, 39, has spent all 15 of his seasons in the National Lacrosse League with the Thunderbirds’ organization. The franchise originally selected him with the first overall pick in the 2010 NLL Draft. 

Halifax's captain appeared in all 18 games for the Thunderbirds last season, totalling 23 goals and 56 points over that span. He added eight goals and 25 points in six playoff outings. 

Across 235 career games, Jamieson has 389 goals and 672 assists for 1,061 points. 

Jamieson is the organization’s all-time leader in games played (235), assists (672), and points (1,061). He also sits second all-time in franchise history in goals (389).
