Thunderbirds Announce 2026-27 Schedule

HALIFAX, NS (September 22, 2026) – The Halifax Thunderbirds have announced their schedule for the 2026-27 National Lacrosse League (NLL) season. The Thunderbirds will open their campaign on the road against the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. AT.
Halifax will play 18 regular-season games, including nine at home and nine on the road. The Thunderbirds will face every team in the NLL once, along with seven additional home-and-home matchups.
The Thunderbirds return to Halifax for their home opener at Scotiabank Centre on Friday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. AT against the Calgary Roughnecks. Following a Week 3 bye, the team will close out the calendar year at home against the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. AT.
The New Year begins with a trip to Calgary on Saturday, Jan. 2 for a 10 p.m. AT matchup against the Roughnecks. Halifax will then face the Toronto Rock in a rematch of last season’s NLL Finals. The home-and-home series begins Friday, Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. AT in Halifax before the Thunderbirds head to Hamilton for a Sunday afternoon matchup on Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. AT.
January wraps up at home on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m. AT against the Vancouver Warriors.
The Thunderbirds have three games scheduled in February, beginning with a road trip to Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 6 to face the Mammoth at 10 p.m. AT. Halifax returns home the following weekend to host the Saskatchewan Rush on Friday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. AT before heading to Buffalo on Saturday, Feb. 20 for an 8 p.m. AT matchup against the Bandits.
March features four games, including two at home and two on the road. The month begins at Scotiabank Centre on Friday, Mar. 5, when the Thunderbirds host the Oshawa FireWolves at 7:30 p.m. AT. Halifax then heads west to face the San Diego Seals on Saturday, Mar. 13 at 11 p.m. AT.
The Thunderbirds return home Friday, Mar. 19 at 7:30 p.m. AT to take on the Knighthawks before travelling to Georgia to face the Swarm on Saturday, Mar. 27 at 7 p.m. AT.
The final month of the regular season begins in Halifax, as the Thunderbirds host the Georgia Swarm on Saturday, Apr. 3 at 7 p.m. AT to complete the home-and-home series.
Halifax will make its final western road trip of the regular season on Friday, Apr. 9, travelling to Saskatchewan for a 10 p.m. AT matchup against the Rush.
The Thunderbirds will play their final regular-season home game on Saturday, Apr. 17 at 7 p.m. AT against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. The regular season concludes the following weekend on Saturday, Apr. 24, when Halifax travels to Oshawa for an 8 p.m. AT matchup against the FireWolves.
