Thunderbirds Announce 2023-24 Theme Nights

(HALIFAX, NS) November 3, 2023 - The Halifax Thunderbirds are thrilled to announce our highly anticipated theme-night schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season. With an exciting lineup of unique and engaging themes, the Thunderbirds are ready to provide an unforgettable experience for fans.
The season kicks off with a bang on Dec 1, as the Thunderbirds face off against the Saskatchewan Rush in both the National Lacrosse League and team home opener.
This special night holds great significance as it is dedicated to "Every Child Matters." The Thunderbirds will honour the lost Indigenous children and survivors of North American residential schools, along with their families and communities.
As the calendar year comes to a close, the Thunderbirds will light up The Nest in style with our New Year’s Celebration on December 29, as we take on the Philadelphia Wings. Fans can expect a thrilling atmosphere and a night filled with festivities.
On Jan. 12, we will host an East Coast Kitchen Party, Thunderbirds style, during their game against the Toronto Rock. This theme night promises to bring the vibrant and lively spirit of Atlantic Canada to the Scotiabank Centre.
Get ready to turn back the clock on Jan. 27, as the Thunderbirds present an 80s/90s Retro Night against the Rochester Knighthawks. Fans will be transported back in time, complete with nostalgic music, fashion, and entertainment from two of our favourite decades.
Escape the winter blues on Feb. 9 with a Beach Party theme night when the Thunderbirds take on the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. Fans can expect a tropical atmosphere, complete with beach balls, Hawaiian shirts, and fun in the sun.
Marvel fans, mark your calendars for Feb. 16, as the Thunderbirds host Marvel Super Hero™ Day against the Buffalo Bandits. This action-packed theme night will bring superheroes to life, both on and off the floor.
Fans can dust off their cowboy boots and enjoy a night filled with country music and bull-riding during Country Night as the Thunderbirds take on the Georgia Swarm on March 1.
As St. Patrick's Day approaches, the Thunderbirds will celebrate on March 15, a special themed night against the Panther City Lacrosse Club. Fans are encouraged to wear green and join in the festive spirit.
The regular season home finale on April 20 against the Colorado Mammoth will be a night to remember as the Thunderbirds show their love for their loyal fans. Fan Appreciation Night will be filled with surprises, giveaways, and heartfelt gratitude.
