Season Ticket Member, James Burke, excited for Inaugural Season

Oct 21, 2019

When lacrosse fan and Nova Scotian, James Burke, first heard the announcement that professional lacrosse would find it’s way to Halifax, he was elated. On Thursday, a chance encounter in Toronto put James face to face with Thunderbirds Owner and General Manager, Curt Styres, and the two quickly hit it off.

While living in Toronto, James and his wife were first introduced to box lacrosse and were hooked. With a quick stop to Calgary before returning home, the two are no stranger to the NLL and the excitement of the game.

“To have a major league team in our city is a big step forward for us, and I know my fellow Haligonians will love the game once they experience it,” said Burke. Living in a passionate sports town like Halifax, Burke knows the potential this sport has to explode and is very optimistic it will do just that. “I am excited to have a great owner that will give the city a whole new entertainment experience. NLL games are just about the most fun you can have, and I can’t wait for my friends and neighbours get a chance to enjoy it!”
