Jul 14, 2020

(July 14, 2020) Halifax, NS – The Thunderbirds announced that they have signed Brandon Robinson to a 1-year deal.

“I’m excited to be back with Halifax for another year,” said Robinson. “The city embraced us right from the beginning and I’m very happy to be a part of this group of guys. There’s no place like Halifax in the NLL and I’m excited for the chance to help this team bring a championship to the East Coast”

Robinson played both offence and defence with the Thunderbirds in the past season throughout four games. He scored one goal and added two assists. The Pickering, Ontario native scooped up 15 loose balls in the 2019-20 season.

"Brandon is a big physical player who played well for us when he got in the line up," said Head Coach Mike Accursi.  "He had some injuries which hampered his success, but he is a huge asset to our team and I’m looking forward to him suiting up for the Thunderbirds next year."

In his 2018-19 rookie season, he played offence and for the franchise. Robinson made his pro debut and notched three points (2+1) on December 29, 2018. He was acquired on August 10, 2017 from the New England Black Wolves in exchange for Adam Bomberry and the Black Wolves’ 14th overall selection in the 2017 NLL Entry Draft.
